Nov. 2024
This lecture contributed to a course titled "How Did Art Begin? The Origins of Art and Its History" and provided an introductory overview of Orthodox Christian iconography. The first hour of the lecture focused on the history of icon painting and the role of aesthetics in Christian theology and Orthodox worship. The second part of the class was dedicated to a single object, Andrei Rublev's Trinity (1425).
